Album of the Week: New Hope Club - New Hope Club

New Hope Club have just released their highly anticipated self-titled debut album, via Virgin EMI. The 13-track album features previously released singles Love Again, Know Me Too Well (featuring Mexican superstar Danna Paola) and Permission, which have amassed incredible streaming numbers and received great support from Spotify, Apple Music and BBC Radio 1. With help from renowned pop producer Matt Rad (One Direction, Little Mix), Iain Kirkpatrick and Jason Evigan (Dua Lipa, Jason Derulo), New Hope Club have put together an accomplished debut album that firmly positions them as one of the most exciting new bands from the UK.

The band have said of their debut release, “For the last 3 and a half years we have been dreaming of releasing an album. From the day we met we have been writing songs together wherever we can, whether that be in a hotel room or on an aeroplane (which is where we wrote Karma). The album is a journey; we have grown up together, fallen in love, fallen out of love and learnt how to deal with being away from home, all at such a young age. All this time we have been dealing with these feelings by sitting down together and putting them down on paper - it is almost like our therapy. The album really portrays our lives thus far in New Hope Club, including songs that got us to where we are today, which is why we saw it fitting to have the album self-titled as New Hope Club.”

To celebrate the release of their debut album, New Hope Club are going to be doing album signings at 3 record stores around the UK. Later today, they will head to Edinburgh's Assai Records at 3pm, Saturday will see them at Leeds' Crash Records at 4pm, and on Monday they will finish up at Kingston's Banquet Records at 5pm. The rising trio are set to continue their meteoric rise, when they embark on their UK headline tour in April. The band will perform at the biggest venues they have headlined to date, kicking off at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on 5th April, and then make their way around cities including Birmingham, London’s Hammersmith Eventim Apollo and Manchester before wrapping things up at Glasgow’s SWG3 on 16th April. Tickets can be purchased here.

New Hope Club are a force to be reckoned with on social media, where they have an overall reach of 10 million. They have picked up over 200 million total streams, garnered over 1 million YouTube subscribers and racked up over 1.6 million monthly Spotify listeners.
