HOW DID YOUR NAME ORIGINATE?

My name is a not uncommon southern name. The Loy is an old family name. -

WHERE WAS YOUR FIRST GIG AND HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE THERE?

My first gig was in London with a band called The Mighty Lights of Paradise - we opened for The Pogues, so there were a lot of people there but no one to see us.

WHEN WAS YOUR LAST DAY OFF AND WHAT DID YOU DO WITH IT?

Every day is a day off. On days when I don't work I'm still working. I tend the garden or plant trees or watch the fields.

WHAT IS SOMETHING - APART FROM YOUR PHONE OR WALLET - THAT HAS TO BE IN YOUR VICINITY AT ALL TIMES?

I don't own a phone and my wallet's always empty. I always carry a book and a notepad.
