HOW DID YOUR NAME ORIGINATE?
Our name has always been somewhat of a mystery to all of us. Unfortunately, there is no real clever story behind coming up with it. We were working in the studio recording a track that was going to be featured on a compilation record and we had decided previously that we needed a new name to fit the bands more mature sound. Somehow, we landed on Saltlake.

WHERE WAS YOUR FIRST GIG AND HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE THERE?
Henry and liams first show together was a school concert at the age of 12 and they have been playing together ever since then. Our first band with this current line-up was in 2016 in London and from what we can remember of it, it wasn’t the biggest audience we’ve ever played too, haha!

WHEN WAS YOUR LAST DAY OFF AND WHAT DID YOU DO WITH IT?
We all work pretty hard, so even when we aren’t gigging or recording we are working on all the other stuff that goes with being in a band. The hardest part about being in a band sometimes is just being in a band and making time to fit all the stuff in. I think our last proper weekend off was only recently!

WHAT IS SOMETHING - APART FROM YOUR PHONE OR WALLET - THAT HAS TO BE IN YOUR VICINITY AT ALL TIMES?
Instruments. I think it’s fair to say that most of us can’t go more than a day without some sort of instrument to bash away on!

WHICH SONG BY ANOTHER ARTIST DO YOU WISH YOU'D WRITTEN?
There are MILLIONS of songs we all wish we had written. It would be impossible to choose really. I’d say if we had to choose one then maybe something by the Eagles. Life In The Fast Lane or Hotel California.

WHAT'S BEEN THE MOST SURREAL FAN MOMENT?
The most surreal fan experience wasn’t actually in person. It was going to a huge gig at Wembley arena and seeing someone come up on the big screen wearing one of T-shirts. That was a bit of a surreal moment.
