HOW DID YOUR NAME ORIGINATE?
That's actually a well-guarded secret and we refuse to kiss and tell. It's probably the most asked question but we've just never told anyone. Sorry.

WHERE WAS YOUR FIRST GIG AND HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE THERE?
Our first gig was at a venue in Glasgow called 'Saint Luke's' and there couldn't have been more than 50 maybe 60 people in the venue. There was a competition/initiative being run by the Scottish Parliament, to try and engage with younger people and therefore try and get into politics. That was the marketing campaign. We entered, won that heat and were put through into the final, which meant that we then got to play at Hollyrood (The Scottish Parliament offices in Edinburgh). We didn't win that one and we still never really got into politics. Not sure if that was a loss for them but a win for us or a win for us but a loss for them? Either way, we're quite conservative, in a liberally democratic kind of way.

WHEN WAS YOUR LAST DAY OFF AND WHAT DID YOU DO WITH IT?
Well before the whole 'self-isolating' thing kicked in and we were forced into taking time off (initially), our last day off would have been toward the end of our last US tour. We were in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and we did what any self-respecting upwardly mobile pop band does on a day off when they're in a different country; we slept, did some laundry and ate food. Sometimes, just being able to do 'nothing' can be as valuable as actually doing something. It was also towards the end of a 4-week tour, which took in trains, planes and Greyhound buses, enough excitement for anyone eh!

WHAT'S BEEN THE MOST SURREAL FAN MOMENT?
On another US tour, we had a day off and instead of just sleeping, eating and doing laundry, we decided to visit the walk of fame in LA. We wanted to see whose star we could see and Jack Black's in particular. For anyone that doesn't know, our Bass player, his real name is actually 'Jack Black'. All of a sudden a young woman started to get all excited; "oh my God, oh my God, it's you guys, wow, etc. We were in LA, Hollywood, so we just thought that she was being dramatic for the sake of it.
Any way she carried on being animated so we said: "ok, fine, who are we"? to which she replied, "Please don't insult me, you're Single By Sunday and I'm currently trying to buy tickets to your UK tour".
We actually couldn't believe it, the fact that we got recognised on the Hollywood walk of fame was just ridiculous. #surreal.
